How we use cookies

Plain English. No legalese. We only set the cookies we need to run the site and understand how it's being used.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small text file stored on your device that lets a website remember things between visits - like your cookie preferences, or whether you're signed in. Cookies on their own can't identify you personally.

The categories we use

Strictly necessary

Required for the site to work. We use them to remember your cookie preferences, keep you signed in if you've registered, and keep the platform secure. Always on.

First-party analytics

We use Datafly Signal, our own analytics tool, to understand how people use the site so we can keep improving it. The cookie it sets (_dfid) is first-party - stored under liquidmarketuk.com - and is never shared with third parties, sold, or used for cross-site advertising. On by default; you can turn it off any time.

Functional

Cookies that enable optional features - embedded videos, social share widgets, or remembering UI preferences across visits. Off by default; opt in if you want these features.

Marketing

Cookies used to measure the effectiveness of any ads we run and to show you more relevant content - for example, conversion pixels from advertising platforms. Off by default; opt in to allow them.

Our analytics cookie is set without asking first, which the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 allows for cookies used only to collect statistics that improve a service. That comes with conditions: we have to tell you clearly what it does, and give you a simple way to refuse. That's what this page and the button below are for.

What we don't do

  • No third-party advertising cookies unless you opt in.
  • No social media trackers unless you opt in.
  • No selling or sharing of analytics data, ever.
